PipSpin Game Review: A Simple and Fun Game that tests your Reaction Time

Developer Matthew Burton is known for creating simple and awesome games such as Ninjevade and PinPong. Now a new awesome game has been added to the list. Introducing PipSpin, a simple and addicting game that will drive you crazy.

PipSpin involves spinning a bar in the middle of an intersection where 4 lines meet. On each line, there will be circles that will pass through the lines and cross the intersection. Your task will be to control the bar and make sure no circle touches the bar.

Controls are simple. Press the right button to spin the bar clockwise and the other button to spin it the other way. You have to spin the bar at the correct time so it won’t collide with the circles. Sounds like an easy task, right?

And do you see the inverted triangle on the upper section of the screen? It will fill itself as you progress in a level. And when it's all filled up, you advance to the next level.

The game is just a walk in the park in the early levels. But when you advance, circles will pass at a faster rate and you’ll have to react faster. Spin too early and you’ll hit the circle behind. Spin too late and you’ll hit the circles up front.

To let you glimpse of how the game looks line in advanced levels, here’s a video gameplay:

Matthew says that there are 10 levels in the game, and after you pass level 10, there will be a surprise waiting for you. I can’t seem to know what type of surprise because I’m stuck on level 6.

The game can be downloaded for free and comes ad-supported. Ads will appear sometimes every after round. You can remove the ads by unlocking the Hacker Edition, which lets you change the color in the game, remove ads, and support Matthew in creating awesome games like this. You can unlock Hacker Edition for US$0.99.

Test your reaction skills with PipSpin for free from the Google Play Store.
