CyanogenMod brings C-Apps to CyanogenMod 12 powered devices

An Android device running a CyanogenMod custom ROM lets you enjoy a vanilla flavored Android experience with some custom tweaks from the CyanogenMod team. It will even get better by installing the CyanogenMod C-Apps package on your Android device.

The CyanogenMod Team has released the C-Apps for users to download and install on their CyanogenMod 12.1 powered Android device. C-Apps contains a series of apps that were only available in CyanogenMod OS which ran on certain Android smartphones such as the One Plus One, ZUK Z1, WileyFox, Andromax Q, and YU branded devices.

Now any Android devices running the latest CyanogenMod 12.1 will also be able to enjoy these new apps.

The C-Apps contains the following apps:

  • Audio FX - improve your audio by switching between audio presets or custom settings created by the user. AudioFX features 24-bit high-res lossless audio with bass boost, surround, reverb, and 13 preset configurations.
  • Theme Chooser - customize the looks and feel of your device’s user interface. You can mix and match design elements between different themes.
  • Theme Store - a place to choose and download a variety of themes.
  • Gallery - the stock gallery app of the CyanogenMod OS. Allows you to store all your photos from different cloud services. Also, deletes duplicate images.
  • Cyanogen Dialer with Integrated Truecaller - preloaded dialer app in CyanogenMod OS with Truecaller that allows you to identify and block spam callers right from its pop-up notification.
  • Email powered by Boxer - allows you to merge multiple email accounts into one app.
  • Cyanogen Account - allows you to access Find My Phone feature and the ability to remotely lock or wipe your device.

You can download the C-Apps in the CyanogenMod C-Apps Website. For instructions on how to install C-Apps package on your CyanogenMod 12.1 powered device, read this Wiki page.
