Geometry Dash Game Review: A Game of a Dashing Square and Cool Techno Music

Ready, set, go! Run and survive through an obstacle course and get ready to be addicted to its fun gameplay and funky music with Geometry Dash.

In Geometry Dash, you control a four-sided character and guide it through an obstacle course. You can control your character by just tapping on the screen to make it jump and tap and hold to make it jump continuously through the course.

The main objective of the game is to guide the character safely through the course, avoiding spikes and crashing into walls, and reaching the end of the course in one piece. One wrong move and you’ll start all over again.

There are objects that you can interact with in the course such as jump pads to boost your jumps and portals where you enter to ride a rocket, defy gravity and switch the direction of the run.

When you find a level too difficult, you can play a level in practice mode where you play through the level with checkpoints so you won’t need to start at the beginning of the level.

Geometry Dash is rhythm based game and every level has this cool techno music playing in the background that fits perfectly with the design of the obstacle course. Sometimes the music helps you get the right timing on your jumps. You can still play the game without any background music, but it would be rather dull and plain. The music adds some spice to the game and is a huge replay factor that drives you to play the game again and again. What’s cool is that you can download your favorite soundtracks in the game.

The game’s graphics is simple and has this retro look and feel. Geometry Dash is a game that doesn’t sport sophisticated graphics yet it will drive you to play the game for hours because of its addicting gameplay and awesome music. You’ll find yourself playing a level again and again until you made it to the finish line.

You can also customize your character by changing its icon or color. You can unlocked icons by doing tasks such as completing a level or completing a practice level. Some characters and other customizable options are locked in the Lite version of Geometry Dash.

Geometry Dash has two versions: the Lite and Full versions. The Lite version lets you play the game for free but with ads and with limited features. The Full version removes the ads and unlocks some features of the game that are locked in the Lite version such as a Level Editor, new characters, achievements, and new levels. The full version will cost about US$2.00.

The Level Editor lets you create and design your own obstacle course. You can also share it for your friends to play.

So what are you waiting for? Start dashing and get hooked with Geometry Dash.
