Flynx App Review: a new and productive way of browsing the Web

Your social network feed is not only a source for updates from your friends, but it’s also where we can find interesting and trending articles on the Web. And when you open a lot of links from your social network apps, it consumes a lot of time because you will need to switch to your Android browser app and wait for the page to load. But with the Flynx app, you can browse your social feeds while waiting for Webpages to load.

Flynx, created by  InfiKen Labs, allows you to open links from social apps and other apps and load the Webpages in the background, allowing you to use the current app while waiting for the page to load. Pages are  stored in a floating window so you won't need to close the current app to access your Webpages.

For instance, you find an interesting article on your Twitter feed. By default, clicking on that link will bring you to your Web browser app to load the page. But with the Flynx app, it loads the page in the background so you can still browse your Twitter feeds while waiting for the page to load.

All the articles you opened will be stored inside this floating bubble. Tapping it will open all the chosen Webpage in a floating window. Flynx allows you to open up to 4 Webpages.

By default, the app enables Quick Read Mode that enhances reading and reduce data usage by removing distracting and unimportant elements in a page. However, if you want to view the original page, just tap the Globe icon in the floating window.

Flynx also allows you to save a page to be read later even if you’re offline. In the floating window, tap the Bookmark icon to save the page.

You can also double tap on a link to instantly save the Webpage in Flynx. But in order to do this you have to set Flynx as the default app for opening Web links. To do that, open the Flynx app, open the left side menu and select Settings. Swipe down to Advanced and select Make default app for opening links. A menu will appear with a list of apps for opening Webpages. Select Flynx and tap Always. Once all set, you can now double tap on links and instantly save them in Flynx. You can find your saved articles under the Saved tab in Flynx.

The Flynx app worked flawlessly and it was able to open articles in the background while browsing social network apps. Flynx saves your time by allowing you to browse your social feeds while waiting for Webpages to load. Flynx is not only limited to social apps and also works with other apps such as Gmail.

The best part is you can use Flynx for free.

Download and install Flynx on your Android device and “read the Web smartly.”
